Question 1

How well does tungsten hold up to daily wear?

Accepted Answer

Tungsten is one of the **hardest metals used in rings**, making it highly resistant to scratches and everyday dings. However, due it's natural brittle nature, tungsten can crack or shatter if it meets a hard surface.

Question 2

Will this ring feel comfortable to wear all day?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this ring features a **comfort fit sleeve**, meaning the inside is gently rounded so it glides onto your finger and doesn't dig in at the edges. Most guys forget they're even wearing it after the first few days.

Question 3

Can I wear tungsten if I have sensitive skin or metal allergies?

Accepted Answer

Tungsten rings are **generally considered hypoallergenic for most people** and contain no nickel, making them a solid choice if you've had reactions to other metals. If you have a known cobalt sensitivity, consult your doctor before ordering.

Question 4

Which profile style should I choose for my ring?

Accepted Answer

**Domed** is the classic, rounded-top look that catches light from every angle. **Flat** is sleek and modern with clean, sharp lines. **Beveled** and **stepped edge** add geometric detail that reads bold up close. **Rounded edge** sits somewhere in between — a softened flat that wears comfortably and looks understated.

Question 5

What is the difference between the finish options?

Accepted Answer

**Polished** is mirror-bright and eye-catching; **satin** is a softer, brushed matte that hides fingerprints well. **Hammered** adds texture with a rugged, hand-forged look, while **distressed** gives the ring a worn-in, lived-with character from day one. When in doubt, satin and hammered are the most popular picks for guys who want low-maintenance good looks.

Question 6

Does the ring look the same in person as in the photos?

Accepted Answer

Pretty close — tungsten's weight and density give it a **premium, substantial look in person** that photos actually struggle to fully capture. Polished finishes may appear slightly more mirror-like under studio lighting than in everyday indoor light, but the color, sheen, and profile are accurate to what you'll receive.

Question 7

How do I clean and take care of a tungsten ring?

Accepted Answer

Tungsten is low-maintenance — a quick wipe with a **soft cloth and mild soap** is all it takes to keep it looking sharp. Avoid harsh chemicals like chlorine or bleach, which can dull the finish over time. Unlike softer metals, you won't need to polish or re-plate it.

Question 8

How do I make sure I order the right size in tungsten?

Accepted Answer

Getting your size right matters especially for tungsten, since it **cannot be resized** after it's made. Measure with our Manly Ring Sizer before you order — it walks you through exactly how to measure. [Find your size](https://manlybands.com/pages/find-my-size).
