Question 1

Is this ring solid gold or just gold plated?

Accepted Answer

This is **solid 10k yellow gold** through and through — not plated, not filled, not a gold-colored coating over a base metal. That means the color and quality go all the way to the core, so you're getting real gold you can actually pass down.

Question 2

Can I wear this gold ring every day without damaging it?

Accepted Answer

**10k gold is one of the more durable gold alloys** because the higher metal content makes it harder and more scratch-resistant than 14k or 18k. It holds up well to daily wear, though like any gold ring it can pick up light surface scratches over time — a quick professional polish restores the look if needed.

Question 3

How do I choose between polished, satin, distressed, and hammered finishes?

Accepted Answer

**Polished** gives you a bright, mirror-like shine — classic and dressy. **Satin** is a soft, matte sheen that's understated and modern. **Distressed** adds a worn, rugged texture for a more industrial vibe. **Hammered** features hand-struck dimples that catch the light uniquely — great if you want something with visible character and depth.

Question 4

What is the difference between the domed, flat, and edge styles?

Accepted Answer

**Domed** has a classic rounded top profile; **flat** is clean and contemporary with a uniform height. The **beveled**, **stepped**, and **rounded edge** styles all have distinct transitions along the band's edge — subtle architectural details that add visual interest and set them apart from a standard band.

Question 5

Does the gold color look the same in person as in the photos?

Accepted Answer

Yellow gold can photograph slightly warmer or cooler depending on studio lighting, but **10k yellow gold has a rich, warm tone** that reads consistently in person. The finish you choose has the biggest impact on overall appearance — a polished ring will look brighter and more reflective than a satin or hammered one under the same light.

Question 6

I have sensitive skin — will 10k gold irritate my finger?

Accepted Answer

10k gold contains a higher percentage of alloyed metals (like silver, copper, and zinc) than 14k or 18k, so **those with a known nickel sensitivity should check with their doctor** before ordering. If you've worn gold jewelry before without irritation, 10k is generally well tolerated for everyday ring wear.

Question 7

How do I keep my gold band looking its best?

Accepted Answer

Clean your 10k gold ring regularly with **warm water, a drop of mild dish soap, and a soft-bristle toothbrush**, then rinse and pat dry. Remove the ring before working with harsh chemicals, chlorine, or abrasive materials. A quick polish with a jewelry cloth periodically will keep a polished finish looking sharp.

Question 8

How precise does my ring size need to be for this order?
